Happy Halloween!!!

What another update already?? Yes!! I have still been doing a lot of photography. The Fall season colors are winding down now. Still some really pretty trees, but its rainy and gray and getting chilly. I guess you just have to work with what Mother Nature gives you!! On to the pictures.

Its Fall!!

Fall is in full swing here in Wisconsin. We even had a bit of snow flurries yesterday afternoon. The colors are just beautiful here. My friend Molly and I have been doing a lot of hiking and camera shooting the past few months.
On a personal note, lots has changed in my life. I have recently filed for divorce and moved out on my own. My friend Molly and I are starting a Photography business and have been doing a lot of sessions lately. Life is good, and I am happy for the first time in a long while. Ending a marriage is never easy, and not to be taken lightly, but in my case, it needed to be done.
Anyway, Here are some of my recent shots. Enjoy!

Still shooting....

Hi!! Part of the reason I havent posted in awhile is I have been having problems with Blogger. I have posted in the help forum and written e-mails, but have been offered no help. I still shoot each and every day. I wish I could easily update here, but I cant. Sometimes I can post with no trouble, othertimes I can't get anything to work the right way. To get caught up now, would be next to impossible, but I will try to post more often, time allowing! Having 3 dogs now including a small puppy, my time in much more limited.
Clearwing Hummingbird Moth

Sulpher Butterfly

Goldenrod Spider

Caterpillar, as of yet, unidentified.

New addition to the family. Welcome JAX

I have been sadly slacking on my blog updates as of late. I have been super busy. Still shooting my camera every day, still watching my Grandbabies. In July I took on a Foster dog for SharPei Savers. The above picture is Jax the first day I got him. He is basically blind, Vets estimate he has about 10% of his vision left. He suffered from untreated Entropion (basically a breed related condition where the upper and/or lower eyelids roll into the eye and cause damage to the corneas). He had entropion surgery the week after I got him.
As you can see, the Vet removed pieces of his upper and lower eyelids and stitched them so his eyelashes no longer rub his corneas. Because they were untreated for so long, the damage to his eyes is permanent. To make a long story short, there is no way I could let this wonderful boy go anywhere else, so I am adopting him!!
                                       After                                                                          Before
And a month later, this is how Jax looks now! Amazing what a little love can do! He has gained 8 lbs in 4 weeks, he is recovered from his surgery and is a happy healthy little lilac boy with a new home.

Project 365 5-3 through 5-16-2013

HI!! Oops, looks like I got a bit behind, shocker! Lots going on here in both my personal life and all around me. I wont go into details now, but sometime down the road I will fill you in. I am still going strong with my Project 365. As many of you know, I am focusing mainly on birds and other wildlife for my Project 365, although I will throw in an occasional person, sunset or anything else that I think is worthy. On to the pictures, there will be a lot of them!

Imagine my surprise to see the Solitary Sandpiper in a puddle in the woods. This bird is named this because it migrates alone. Bird number 96 on my Audubon Life List.

Palm Warbler, I was very excited to see this beautiful little bird. Bird number 97 on my life list!

Walking along the railroad tracks to see the eagles, when this little bird came chasing me all puffed up. This is why, 4 beautiful eggs in a nest on the ground. Sadly, raccoons destroyed them a couple days later.

Male Goldfinch molting its winter feathers and getting summer colors in.

Eastern Towhee bird number 98 for my life list! i am excited to be closing in on number 100!

Song Sparrow at dawn (5am) nothing special but I love the lighting!

I have a thing for graffiti, love the message in this one.

 Male rose Breasted Grossbeak.

Blue Heron fishing...

Osprey came a little too close to the eagles nest...

A simple branch made extraordinary due to the lighting at dawn.
Scarlett Tanager bird number 99 for my life list. Was not expecting to see this beauty. Not a great shot, but good enough to see what it is!!

Project 365 4-27 through 5-02-2013

Welcome back!! Not waiting a full 10 days to update this time. It just takes too long. The weather has been up and down, 88 one day and 49 the next, a bit of sun a bit of rain and a lot of clouds. Doesnt stop me from getting out most of the time. I am now 5 months in and still going strong with the photo a day challenge. Looking forward to being able to look back at the end and see how far I have come. Enjoy the weekend!!

Ruby Crowned Kinglet - this little guy flits around branch to branch landing for only a second in search of flying bugs. He sure posed nicely for me.

Male Cardinal

Prairie Crocus- pretty but toxic

Bird number 94 on my Audubon Life List, the Yellow Warbler.

Wood Thrush? When I find out for sure it will be bird number 95!

Tulips at my daughter Jessica's house. Are you surprised no bird??

See you in a few days!
