I Heart Macro 8-20-11
It's that time of the week again! Time for the latest I Heart macro post. My favorite day of the week just for this reason! Got out and about with nature again this week. Be sure and click on each image to make it bigger. The yellow caterpillar was a shot I got when my daughter Courtney came home and said "Mom, there's a yellow fuzzy caterpillar on the house outside, I thought you might want to get some pictures of it". So nice of my daughter's to find photo subject's for me isn't it? He was a pretty cool looking caterpillar if I do say so myself! Thanks Co! Love you. The sunflower I played around a bit with. I knew when I saw it, that I wanted to make it black and white, and wanted to do something special with that 1 wonky little petal. I am really happy with how it turned out. The dragonfly I shot while on a walk with Jess and Ethan at my favorite place to go right near home. Its full of wild plants and flowers and has a bubbling creek running through it. He just kept posing for me. That is also where I snapped the sweet little butterfly on the cone flower. Enjoy your week, I know I will!

I love the little caterpillar...looks like grass on his back...and the dragonfly is fantastic...they don't keep still enough for me (that's when I can find them!)
Beautiful job.

Great pictures all! I love the fuzzy caterpillar and the effect you used on the sunflower.
Enjoy your week!
D'aw, so adorable of your daughter to inform you about the caterpillar~! And the sunflower is fabulous too, it would work nice as an art print, framed and put on the wall imho.

I've never seen a caterpillar like this one. I love what you have down with the sunflower bud. Macro can be so much fun, I love it.
Wonderful wonderful shots! Love them all but the dragonfly is my favorite!
I love the black and white but it has a tiny yellow color, that is awesome and all your photos are perfect!
