Decembers page

Here is my progress this far! In case anyone is not familiar with Nancy Eha's work, it can be seen here. When I saw her kaleidoscope, it screamed Snowflake to me, so I decided to give it a try. The pattern is in her Bead Creative Bead Quilts book. This is what I got done yesterday. I wish you could see the sparkle of the Swarovski sequins. It is so pretty but this photo doesn't capture that so you will have to use your imagination. I am going to do a simple page this month to capture the beauty of a snowflake on my silk. Have a wonderful weekend, more updates soon!

Also, thanks for posting about Nancy's book. I just today decided to buy it. I must have been getting signals from you!

This is a great start. The fabric is lovely. Snowflakes hit our place today for the third time this year. It doesn't stay long and this time it disappeared after a few hours so it was fun to see but snow is winter for sure. Will enjoy seeing your interpretation of it.

Actually, the click-to-enlarge version shows the sparkle fairly well... and it's such a compliment to the sheen of the silk! I'm looking forward to seeing how this develops. Robin A.

I have used those little sequins and absolutely love them! I recently purchased them in several colors (took me awhile find them!). I have that same book by Nancy Eha and love it.

Nice page by the way, looking forward to seeing it in all of is sparkly glory when it's finished!
