I Heart Macro 10-9-11

Hi everyone! It's time for this weeks installment of "I Heart Macro". First off I have to tell you that my hubby surprised me this week by buying me a new camera! He got me a Canon 60D and some other accessories. I went out to practice a couple hours with Kim (Jumbled Hutch) who also participates in I Heart Macro, along with my daughter Courtney and Grandbaby Kileigh. I found myself completely overwhelmed and wondering if I was in over my head. The next day, I decided to go back out by myself and just play around. The pictures I am posting today are from my play session all by myself! I know I have lots to learn and need more practice, but to be honest I am surprised that I even got any I felt comfortable posting. I think I am going to love this camera!

Wow, your husband know how to surprise you well! You have managed to capture some great macros. How do you find to compared to your old camera for macros (what camera were you using?)

Looks like you are doing just fine to me!!! Beautiful shots! I love seeing the insect world through the camera. All the "fear" and yuckiness is replaced by fascination and beauty!
